While respondents to a recent Economist Intelligence Unit survey viewed cyber infrastructure as being of primary importance to the economic performance of their organization, industry and country, many were less sure about their organization’s cyber resiliency. A significant number of respondents placed responsibility for resilience firmly in the lap of national governments and multilateral organizations, despite recognizing its significance for their organization’s long-term growth.
Organizations headquartered in Europe appear to have the best grasp of cyber resilience, according to calculations by the EIU. Firms in Asia are the least prepared. There are smaller variations by company size, with the large companies the most resilient and small companies least.
